The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, commonly referred to as MASS MoCA, is a museum located in North Adams, Massachusetts, USA. It is the largest center for contemporary visual art and performing arts in the country.
MASS MoCA opened with 19 galleries and 100,000 sq ft (9,300 m2) of exhibition space in 1999. In addition to galleries and performing arts spaces. MASS MoCA also rents space to commercial tenants.
Along with a large variety of contemporary art displays, the museum also hosts film screenings and has seen performances by a variety of musical acts, including Joan Baez, Cat Power and Steve Earle. MASS MoCA is the home of the Bang on a Can Summer Institute, where composers and performers from around the world come to create and perform new music. The festival, started in 2001, includes concerts in galleries — usually twice a day — for three weeks during the summer.

Williams College is located in the center of Williamstown, along Route 2 (Main Street), next to the junction of Routes 2 and 7 in the northwest corner of Massachusetts. We are about one hour's drive from the Massachusetts Turnpike and Interstates 91, 90, and 87. Driving time from Boston or New York City is about three hours; from Albany, NY, about one hour; and a good two hours from Bradley International Airport outside of Hartford, CT.
Williams College is the number one ranked private liberal arts college located in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Williams is considered one of the premier institutions of higher learning in the United States and is ranked first among liberal arts colleges by U.S. News and World Report. The college is situated at the foot of Mount Greylock in the Berkshires of northwestern Massachusetts. Established in 1793 with funds from the estate of Ephraim Williams, Williams is one of the oldest academic institutions in the United States. Originally a men's college, Williams became co-educational in 1970. Fraternities were also phased out during this period, beginning in 1962. Williams forms part of the historic Little Three colleges, along with Wesleyan University and Amherst College.
There are three academic curricular divisions (humanities, sciences and social sciences), 24 departments, 33 majors, and two master's degree programs in art history and development economics. There are 315 voting faculty members, with a student-to-faculty ratio of 7:1. As of 2009, the school has an enrollment of 2,124 undergraduate students and 49 graduate students.
The academic year follows a 4-1-4 schedule of two four-course semesters plus a one-course "winter study" term in January. An intensive summer research schedule involves about 200 students on campus completing projects with professors.

Williamstown Theatre Festival, located on the campus of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, is one of America's preeminent regional summer stock theatres. Founded in 1955 by Ralph Renzi (news director for Williams College) and David C. Bryant (chairman of the school's drama program), it was conceived as a way to use the Adams Memorial Theatre on the Williams campus for a resident summer theatre company. At the request of Renzi and Bryant, established Actress and Broadway Theatre World Award winner raised in Williamstown on Meacham Street Marcia Henderson returned to Williamstown to open and perform in the first opening play at the festival. She was the first major celebrity to perform at Williamstown. Recently, the festival has transferred several successful shows to Broadway, and was awarded the Regional Theatre Tony Award in 2002.

Built in the late 1880's, this monument is a dedication to the famous Battle of Bennington that took place during the Revolutionary war in 1777. It was at this location the American colonists maintained a store of weapons and food, which British General Burgoyne knew was critical to capture in order to restock his own troops.
Although the battle came together in nearby Walloomsac, this site seemed appropriate considering the military and strategic importance of the arsenal Burgoyne was trying to capture. For almost a century the battle was celebrated annually in the Old State Arms House Hotel which was also located on this sight.
In 1877 a local historical society was formed and they started planning the monument. The committee considered many designs for the monument. One design which called for a slender stone column only 100 ft tall was showcased during the centennial celebration in 1877, which was attended by President Rutherford B. Hayes. The committee finally accepted J. Phillip Rinn's "Big Tower" design with some changes. J. Phillip Rinn modified the original design to include curved edges, and in November 1889 the final stone was set on. The dedication ceremonies were delayed until 1891, when Bennington welcomed President Benjamin Harrison who attended the ceremonies and held a reception at the Walloomsac Inn.
