Our church began in 1750 as a Mr. Francis Briggs held meetings in his home. Since before the Civil War believers in this area have remained faithful to Christ & God's salvation promised in Him.
However, our goal today is to become culturally relevant as we seek to share the gospel of Christ with those around us.
We believe this can be done with blended worship in our services and small group meetings in the homes of our people as we practically share our faith with others.

Macculloch Hall Historical Museum truly shines among New Jersey's historic house museums. Built from 1810 to 1819, this Federal style mansion of more than twenty rooms was home to George Macculloch and five generations of his descendants. Macculloch is best remembered as the Father of the Morris Canal.
The property now known as Macculloch Hall was a twenty-six acre working farm until 1888 when Macculloch's daughter, Mary Louisa Miller, divided the property into a land development corporation. As a farm, Macculloch employed workers, including slaves, until 1819, raising crops including more than two dozen varieties of pears. Not surprisingly, George Macculloch was first president of the Morris County Agricultural Society. He originally conceived the Morris Canal for the transport of farm produce from northwest New Jersey to metropolitan New York markets.

East Hanover Township is a township in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the township population was 11,393. Incorporated in 1928, it is a largely middle to upper-income suburban community situated roughly 25 miles west of New York City. The headquarters of the Nabisco company (now owned by Kraft Foods) and the pharmaceutical company Novartis are located in East Hanover.
The name Hanover came from the House of Hanover in Germany. This namesake was given to the Township of Hanover (which included present-day East Hanover) on December 7, 1720 as a sign of respect to King George I of the House of Hanover, the British king who ruled over the American colonies in the eighteenth century. Unique among towns, East Hanover is defined by the joining of two rivers, the Whippany River to the west and north and the Passaic River to the east and north. This geographic effect led to the early name of East Hanover, "Hanover Neck." Since the creation of Hanover Township in 1720, its size has been considerably decreased as the population of the area has increased. Originally encompassing Morris County and parts of both Sussex and Warren County, Hanover Township became too unwieldy for a single local government as time passed. The members of the government felt that Hanover Township needed to break apart into smaller towns that could provide more responsive local control, even if it meant increased taxes to support new facilities for each.

Turtle Back Zoo, located in West Orange, New Jersey, is a zoo in New Jersey. Situated on 18 acres (73,000 m2) of land in South Mountain Reservation, it is part of the Essex County Park System, the oldest county park system in the United States. Founded in 1963, the zoo was originally a showcase for animals indigenous to New Jersey, but currently features species from every continent except Antarctica. Located adjacent to the Richard J. Codey Arena, practice home of the New Jersey Devils. The zoo is open year-round, recording over 340,000 visitors in 2007.
Recent additions to the zoo include Filipino "golden mantled" flying foxes, making Turtle Back the first zoo in the country to show this species of bat; an American Black Bear exhibit; the Essex Farm, which holds common farm animals and includes a petting zoo; and an animal-themed playground. Its most notable new feature is a $4.6 million reptile house and education center, the zoo's first indoor exhibit, which opened in June, 2006. The center contains a pair of nine-foot-long "black dragons", a species of monitor lizard which was discovered in Malaysia in 2005 and has yet to receive a scientific name. The lizards at Turtle Back are believed to be the only "black dragons" on display in the world.
On September 26, 2006, The Star-Ledger reported that Turtle Back Zoo earned accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, which makes the zoo eligible to participate in animal exchanges with other AZA members, and to receive state and federal funding. This is a far cry from a decade earlier, when the zoo was in a dilapidated state; Turtle Back was almost shut down in 1995, but millions of dollars in grants were used on improvements to assure that the zoo would remain open. Since 2003, Turtle Back has received approximately $20 million in funding.
Two nearby universities, Montclair State University and Kean University, have provided funding for the acquisition and upkeep of animals (a Red-tailed Hawk and Cougars, respectively) which became the official mascots for each of the schools.
On November 2, 2009, the Turtle Back Zoo broke an attendance record with over 420,277 tickets sold since the beginning of the year.
