Lincoln Financial Field, familiarly known as "The Linc", is the home stadium of the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles. It has a seating capacity of 68,532 (69,032 with Standing Room Only tickets). It is located in South Philadelphia on Pattison Avenue between 11th and 10th Streets, also aside I-95 as part of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. The Stadium opened on August 3, 2003 after 2 years of construction beginning in May 7, 2001 and replaced the old Veterans Stadium. While its total capacity barely changed, the new stadium contained double the amount of luxury and wheelchair-accessible seats, along with the newer, more modern services. Like the Vet, Lincoln Financial Field had a jail inside the stadium, that contained four cells. However, this jail was done away within two years as the level of unruly behavior had dropped considerably from the worst days of the Vet. The Linc also plays host to several soccer games each year, and in the past two years it has played host to the NCAA lacrosse national championship. Naming rights were granted in June 2002 to Lincoln Financial Group for a sum of $139.6 million over 21 years. Additional construction funding was raised from the sale of Stadium Builder's Licenses to Eagles season ticket holders. The Army–Navy football game is also played at the stadium. Temple University's Division I FBS college football team also plays their home games at Lincoln Financial Field, paying the Eagles $1 million a year to do so.

Walt Whitman House "Camden was originally an accident, but I shall never be sorry I was left over in Camden. It has brought me blessed returns." In 1884, Walt Whitman purchased a modest, two-story frame house on Mickle Street for $1,750. It is the only house he ever owned. He lived there until his death in 1892, at the age of seventy-two. He had come to Camden years earlier, in 1873, and lived with his brother George on nearby Stevens Street. By this time, Whitman's international reputation attracted the attention of the day's most prominent literary figures. Among them, Charles Dickens, Willaim M. Thackeray, and Oscar Wilde came to Camden to visit America's greatest poet. When George and his wife Louisa decided to move to rural Burlington, New Jersey, Walt chose to stay in Camden. With the surprising success of the 1882 edition of Leaves of Grass, Whitman was able to purchase his own home. He soon met Mary O. Davis, the widow of a sea captain, who was renting a house on West Street. The aging poet proposed that she move into his empty house with her furniture, rent free, and keep house for him. He would provide the living expenses and pay her a small salary. Mrs. Davis moved in and remained with Whitman until his death on March 26, 1892. Whitman referred to Mary as his housekeeper and friend. During his years in Camden, Whitman became a friend of the Philadelphia artist, Thomas Eakins. These two giants of nineteenth-century American culture found much to admire in each other's work. Each in his own medium broke with conventions, creating something new and distinctively American. Eakins photographed Whitman and painted his portrait. Today the Walt Whitman House, a National Historic Landmark, provides an intimate glimpse into the life of the poet, attracting visitors from around the world. Whitman's original letters, personal belongings, the bed in which he died, and the death notice that was nailed to the front door have all been preserved, as well as a collection of rare nineteenth-century photographs, including the earliest known image of Whitman - an 1848 daguerreotype. The Walt Whitman House is located at 328 Mickle Boulevard, between 3rd & 4th Streets, Camden, New Jersey. The House is 2 blocks east of the Camden Waterfront. For more information, please call (856) 964-5383 Walt Whitman House in Camden 328 Mickle Boulevard Camden, New Jersey 08103
