The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour debuted in December 2005. With developments in aviation technology coming at an ever-quickening pace, The Boeing Company, Future of Flight Foundation, Snohomish County Public Facilities District and the Snohomish County Airport (Paine Field) joined forces to create a unique interpretive center so visitors could glimpse the future of commercial aviation. By incorporating and expanding the existing Boeing Tour, the Future of Flight offers a remarkable opportunity to see both commercial jet production today and the direction aviation is headed in the future. The $23-million Future of Flight project represents a dynamic public/private/nonprofit partnership. Its mission is to engage you, the visitor, in the wonder of flight - from the astonishing miracle of powered flight itself to the impact of commercial aviation on humanity around the globe. Come to the Future of Flight to learn, be inspired and perhaps influence your own future - or that of your children! The Future of Flight features hands-on exhibits, videos, graphics and interactive stations to involve and appeal to the whole family. For example, you can: Digitally design and test your own jet - and then pick up a print of it in the Future of Flight Store to take home. Take an exhilarating ride aboard the multi-passenger XJ5 Flight Simulator, flying with the best pilots in the world as they soar above unknown territory at mind-jarring, supersonic speeds! Explore the interactive displays designed to provide you with an understanding and appreciation of technology as applied to the science of flight. Try out the next generation of in-flight entertainment systems. Touch the high-tech "skin" of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Learn how technology and aviation can serve as change agents to connect people and cultures across the globe. The Boeing Tour and Boeing Store expanded both its facilities and its hours when it became part of the Future of Flight Aviation Center. Now you can watch the world's largest jets assembled in the world's largest building on Saturdays and Sundays as well as weekdays.

Most students earn their associate degree in arts and sciences after two years of college, and then some transfer to a four-year college to finish their bachelor's degree. Courses EvCC offers can be tailored to specialized career majors such as programming, nursing, or accounting. EvCC consists of 13 modern brick buildings on a tree-shaded campus adjoining Legion Memorial Park Golf Course in Everett. The Parks Student Union Building is where most students go for lunch or to the student lounge, The Paperclip, where students can relax and watch TV or a movie. The library is located downstairs and houses reading and studying areas. In early 1999, the college built a state-of-the-art Instructional Technology Center, Shuksan Hall, named after a local mountain. Whitehorse Hall, one of the newest buildings on campus, opened January 2007. The 88,000-square-foot building is home to the college's physical sciences, visual arts, and journalism programs.[2]. [3] The building is part of a 10-year expansion plan that includes the new $40 million undergraduate education center, Gray Wolf Hall, which opened Spring 2009. In summer 2009, the Everett Community College broke ground on a new $24 million Student Health and Fitness Center off of Tower Street, near its main campus. The 49,000 square foot building will replace the college’s current gym and is scheduled to open in 2010. EvCC students are a variety of ages and come from diverse backgrounds.
