It is very nice to be greeted by smiling, pleasant faces and that's exactly what we got when we walked to the front desk. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was noise in the hallway at 1:30 a.m. and a quick call to the front desk solved that problem. The breakfast buffet had good offerings (boiled eggs, oatmeal, omelettes, etc.). The breakfast area was a bit crowded, but the hotel was full the previous night. The breakfast area was kept clean and well-stocked. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will return to Hampton Inns in the future. « less

I booked this Hampton Inn for 3 Adults for one night during Richmond NASCAR race weekend. We booked at a great rate, especially considering the event, and were not charged an extra person fee even though we had three adults in the room.
Our room was one of the roomiest standard hotel rooms I've had that wasn't in a luxury property. We booked 1 King with sofabed. See my photos since a picture is worth a thousand words, as they say. We also had a concealed fridge and small coffeemaker, flat-screen tv, free internet and work desk. Very large bathroom. My friend said the sofabed was quite comfortable.
The hotel seem to be full with race fans, race team members, and a wedding party, but there were still plenty of parking spaces when we pull in after the race late Saturday night.
The Hampton Inn breakfast was great as usual with oatmeal, eggs and meat, cereals (even Kashis and other high-quality brands of yogurts in several flavors), pastries, coffees and teas, fruits, juices, fresh hot waffles, and more.
There's an exercise room and outdoor pool, business center, and large lobby, too.
I would definitely use this hotel again when in the Richmond area. « less
