The Fairfield Inn & Suites is centrally located on the west side of Indianapolis with access to I-65, I-74, I-69, I-40, I-70 and all easy entries to downtown. We are newly built with 73 total rooms with 42 double queens, 5 kings and 26 king suites. We offer a full continental breakfast buffet, complimentary internet, business center with computers and a market bar for your convenience. We have two well appointed meeting rooms that can easily accomodate 20/25 people with service. We have a local caterer and Panera bread two blocks away who work with the property. We also have a large indoor swimming pool with a whirlpool adjacent to the lobby.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites Avon is 8 minutes from downtown and the Marion County Fairgrounds. Being located on the rapidly developing westside is has easy access to 465, I-70, I-65, I-74, I-69, I-40 and I-37. There is a large Walmart Center next door and Rockville Road has all the national chain and local restaurant types with 3 blocks. Midwest Sports Center, Indianapolis International airport is 7 minutes away. The Indianapolis Colts facility is 9 minutes away.

$251.85 for 12 hours, but it was only 15 minutes from the airport. Staff was excellent, location was okay, breakfast was mediocre, room was clean and relatively new, but the view from room 216 was the back of the entrance sign. Didn't need to close the curtains as no light came in. Restaurant choices abound as long as you like stand-alone franchise food. However, the bed was comfortable, the shower worked and I mad my early flight without any issues. Value for money spent? Not so much. « less

Overall, the hotel was AVERAGE....but just being ok doesn't keep the customers coming back when theres plenty of competition 15-20 min away. The room was clean enough and the initial issue I had regarding dissatisfaction in the first room I was assigned was resolved by Gary which I was grateful for and thanked him. I did notice an unpleasant smell when entering the room and found it a little warm but turned on the air and made a note to go over to walmart for some air freshener. My biggest issue with the room and hopefully not the entire hotel is the condition of the wallpaper which is annoying the heck out of me. From what I've read from the other reviews the hotel isn't that old which is why I can't understand why the wallpaper (in several places) is puckering and peeling back from the upper wall and ceiling (where people aren't in contact with it) and why is it being held up with globs of scotch tape....it just screams of tackiness....I keep staring cause I just don't GET IT...I would think they could reapply a little wallpaper glue..but who am I....just an AVERAGE (Platinum Premier) guest in an AVERAGE hotel, looking up at AVERAGE scotch taped decor...writing an AVERAGE review. Oh well as the saying goes "first impressions". Next time I'll go elsewhere. See pics. « less

I was disappointed in not having a small fridge in the room. The pool is quite small so if that is very important to you, you might chose a different place. « less

I chose this hotel for the chain rep, our previous Fairfiled Inn/Marriott experiences and location not too far from the Covered Bridges we toured in Putnam and Parker Counties to the West. Unless I see some changes are made in the list of amentities and photos show furniture changes, we won't stay there again.We do return to Indy often.
I have mixed emotions because ALL the staff we met were WONDERFUL! They are extremely helpful and welcoming. Just what we've come to expect from Fairfield Inns and higher Marriott levels of service. Gary checked us in and assisted with directions to Avon Gardens , high lighted in a recent Midwest Living magazine. The people working at this Fairfield Inn are all welcoming and helpful. Also, it was immaculate. My reservations revolve around less than great choices obviously made by the Owner. This hotel is about 3 years old. The carpeting, colors, breakfast area are in normal Fairfiled Inn modern design. Very attractive colors. We frequently stay at the Farirfield Inn and Suites , among others, in Romulus , Mi for their Park and Fly deals. Their colors are the same and staff is great. That's where it stops. Avon furniture less expensive and dresser in 424 is already chipped across the top edge. Romulus furniture beautiful casework across the entire wall where quality equals durability.
Avon no regrigerator EVEN Americinns at $35 less a night HAVE refrigerators.. There were many families and groups here. Refrigerators are expected these days.REALLY!!!

Avon.. Obviously, the contractor must have been pushed to save money. One of the subway tiles of bath tub surround is chipped and could only have been chipped in construction. Tells me owner told them to SAVE money and use even flawed materials.It would have been easy to repleace during construction.
Romulus, beautiful, no problems. The owners here and in other Inn's have chosen the separate sink and tub/toilet areas which help occupants get ready in the morning. Not here. Just tells me owner didn't really care what's best for his clients. Just get us in and out as cheaply as possible.
My husband ended up with a back ache the second night we were there. Luckily, we had a 2 queen room as both beds had very stiff mattresses with sunken areas. The mattresses need to be turned . I would expect good mattresses to last more than 3 years.
We did not use the pool or hot tub. Our schedule and the pool's didn't match.
Breakfast was okay. There are waffles, but there are no toppings other than syrup and butter. Breakfast ladies we met the 2 mornings we were there were very nice and helpful. Everything was kept well stocked.
I hope the owner invests a bit in this hotel. when people travel a lot and stay at mulitple Marriott facilities OFTEN and from Coast to Coast and in ST Thomas, it's obvious the owner is hoping none of us know anything. The lack of safes and refrigerators in the rooms and installation of just about the cheapest furniture I've ever seen in many years of travel is somewhat insulting. I'm not sure why Coproate let him get away with this. The rates are not cheap, so why subject your guests to the lowest Fairfield level you can? This won't bring me back.
I truly hope the owner and corporate read this review. I hope the owner made poor choices becasue he/she didn't know better. Hospitality depends on return customers. Your staff here is GREAT! Give them a great facility to match! « less

Stayed here on our travels from VA to ID, the staff was very helpful in telling us the best places to eat. Was only here for the one night, the room was very friendly to open the door to and plunk our stuff down. The cleanliness of the room allowed us to not worry anything, the beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and off the street, but not so far as to be difficult to get to. As we were leaving very early in the morning, before breakfast was being served the, lady there brought out food for us to eat allowing us to have a small snack before we started on our journey angain. That is what I call great service, Thanks Fairfield Inn! « less
