It's a little old but the staff is fabulous! Anything wrong, they will fix it. Make a call and there is a golf cart there to chauffeur you around the HUGE property... RYAN WAS THE BEST CHAUFFEUR: great personality and made appropriate small talk. The price is right for me. We have been there three times for Arizona Toastmasters conferences. « less

We have stayed at the resort several times, we fly out of the Gateway Airport it is about 10 minutes away from this resort. The staff is friendly and the rates are wonderful, and the rooms are spacious (they may need a little updating). They have everything that you can need, we had room service and the food was good. They also have shuttle service to the Gateway airport the driver we had was very helpful. They are just really nice people that work there. There is a pool and spa, golf course, and a place to eat with room service. If you are looking for a place to stay in Mesa try this out. If you want FANCY not the place. « less

Booked thru Priceline, they have it rated at 3 stars. I would give it a 2.1, maybe 2.5 if i were being generous. Nothing horribly wrong, just sort of dated inside, towels a bit worn, carpet a bit worn, fixtures a little dated. It is clean, there is a restaurant and lounge on site which seem nice. Pool is open 24 hours, I would say that is a plus. Staff has has been nice and friendly. « less

We booked our package through Allegiant Air, and then phoned the resort and specifically requested a King suite with a private patio. We were told we would be charged $30per night for the upgrade, which we thought was reasonable. We had been here in 2012, and while we found that the rooms and furnishings were outdated and worn, we enjoyed the 3 days we were there and were looking forward to 5 days in 2013. The layout of the resort is a bit screwy. Of course, it IS built around the golf course, and as we were staying in one of the outlying buildings, we had to drive along an access road that lay to the outside of the resort. However, as we had figured out the route on our first stay, there was no problem. the first inkling we had that anything wrong was a lack of parking near the room. We had to drive back to the lobby, and they advised us to park in a lot that was even further away from our building, and Gus the night guy gave us a ride to our room. As we checked into the room and looked it over, we immediately notice two double beds, not a king. I phoned the front desk and was told that there were no king suites available that night, but to call the desk in the morning, and if there were some king suite checkouts, we might get one. In the morning, we had decided that it wasn't too bad, and we would stay in the room for the duration. I phoned the front desk the day before we were to check out and see if we were still going to be charged the $30 per night extra, and they confirmed that, yes, we would still be charged because we had been upgraded to a premier room (in hindsight, we should have booked flights, hotel, and rental car separately, as there is no way to tell how much you are paying for each without a lot of difficulty). I argued with them that, as we had not received the room I had specifically requested, I did not think the $30 charge was fair. To their credit, they reduced the fee to $15 per night. We began to notice disturbing things about the room as the days wore on. The full-size kitchen was clean, but only on the surface. The top of the fridge was full of dust bunnies. If I had wanted that, I would have stayed home! Te fridge itself was quite old, and had two different color handles on the door, like one had broken and the only replacement they could get was white. The stove had had something spilled on the flat burners and was not removed with a proper cleaner. And there were absolutely no utensils to cook with! No pots, no pans. There were lots of forks, but only one steak knife! The floor around the bottom of the fridge and stove were filthy and crusted with scum. The main area of the floor was clean, but obviously no one had thought to put the extra effort into cleaning the floor properly. The carpet and furnishings were just as worn and outdated as we had remembered them, but more so. There were tears and runs in the carpet, as well as stains that were not able to be removed (I assume they tried to remove them when they originated). "At least", we thought, " the patio would be a blessing in the warm arizona air". Uck! Housekeeping had obviously not been out there for some time. There was an old drink glass, empty pack of cigarettes, and other garbage on the table and floor. I threw them out in the common grass area, and they were gone the next day, but over the course of the next few days, we noticed that housekeeping staff never once went out and checked the patio for garbage or merely sweeping it out. To give some credit, the pool area near our building was very nice. The water was very clean and cool enough to relax in, and we noticed pool staff performed daily maintenance. A strange thing though, was the condition of the grounds around the pool. There were weeds everywhere, even in the palm tree planters. It would only take an hour to pull, and then spray. Come on. In summary, they need to put a ton of money into this place and update, repair, and renovate. There are too many other places to try out in the area, and that's what we will do next time. « less

Stayed one night here as we were flying out of Phoenix-Mesa gateway airport the next day. The resort is showing its age, but still very clean and functional. If you are looking for an upscale resort this is not for you, but if you want a clean room with a comfy bed this will do. We stayed in a King resort room in a detached one story building. The room was dated, but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Played the course that afternoon, about what you would expect from a decent public course. All of the staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful. « less
