Fairly comfortable hotel for a 2 night stay in San Francisco. Within walking distance to Fishermans Wharf and Pier 39 however 1 drawback was traffic noise. We had a ground floor room with a road junction just outside our window and it didn't appear to be double glazed. All in all though a good location. Room was clean and comfortable and staff very efficient and friendly. « less

Nice enough hotel in grear location but they lack one very important element in the rooms that are roadside and thats double glazing! Its like there are no windows there...

Nice enough hotel in grear location but they lack one very important element in the rooms that are roadside and thats double glazing! Its like there are no windows there at all! Fishermans wharf doesnt shut down so be prepared. The do provide ear plugs! If they sorted the soundproofing I'd be giving them a 4* « less

Another lovely Hotel, the Holiday Inn at the Wharf District in San Francisco is just the very best place to be based. Down near the wharfs many tours, attractions and cable car and trolley cars start from this point so it’s the ideal place to be situated. The piers with eclectic mix of restaurants to the famous Clam Chowder, Boudins sour dough loaf, and the Hard rock café, this is all to start with, theres so much to do you’ll wonder where the time went.
From the moment you enter the foyer you are given a warm IHG welcome, By the doorman. The lovely staff behind the desk and all the housekeeping are friendly and welcoming. A lovely hotel a reasonably good value with a good restaurant within.
This year in July 2013 the Priority Rewards club gets a revamp, a new name and new benefits, with some better reward opportunities and will be called the IHG Rewards Club, so look out for those exciting changes. As an IHG Platinum Elite Ambassador for ten years, I can highly recommend this hotel and the IHG free rewards program. I am truly looking forward to visiting again. « less
