This hotel is big & a really nice place to stay while in San Antonio. It was formerly a bank & is beautifully decorated. our room was very nice with a view over the city & was large with a king sized bed & plenty of room to move around , although the bathroom was small with the toilet right beside the bath making it awkward at times to manoeuvre around. The hotel has a lovely restaurant & good facilities including a guest laundry. It is right on the Riverwalk where you can catch a water taxi around the water ways & close walking distance to some very good restaurants. There is free wifi in the rooms . We had a quiet room & the only noise heard was some residents coming home at 3 am but otherwise we were not disturbed. The staff were very helpful & there is a well stocked gift & shop next to reception which sold food & drink as well. If we ever went back to San Antonio I would consider staying here again. « less

My 2 friends and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza this past Saturday night. Everything was really, really nice.
We had 2 rooms and when checking in, they had already arranged for us to be on a high floor, overlooking the pool, with adjoining rooms.
The Valet and Front Desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Room was large and clean. Beds were very comfortable. We had no problems with the elevators being slow as other reviews mentioned. Of course, check out time is going to be busy, but you really should expect that.
After we checked in, we went out and about the Market Square and Riverwalk. When we returned back to our rooms, we were pleasantly surprised that each room had a basket of chips with salsa and 2 Coronas on Ice from the hotel! Little things like that are very impressive!
It is in the quieter part of the Riverwalk but only a short walk to the main areas. Was not a problem at all.
The breakfast buffet was excellent and very reasonably priced.
The only reason I didn't give the hotel a 5 is because it does need to be updated a little.
