Stayed here for six nights at the end of April and took subway to historical sites and museums in Boston and at Harvard University. It is 15 minutes to walk from this hotel to the subway station (Alewife station) and then 20 minutes approximately on the subway to the Boston Common subway stop (Park station). A week's subway pass cost $18. My wife and I were very satisfied with the reasonable accommodations. Well worth the small amount of extra time to save the cost of staying closer to Boston city hotels. Breakfast every morning quite satisfactory.
The hotel has a shuttle van for the trip to the Alewife subway station if you would rather not walk, or if weather is unfavorable. Shuttle drivers are courteous and definitely strive to keep to promised pick-up and drop-off times. We loved visiting Boston and enjoyed our stay at Hotel Tria. « less

I traveled from a conference in Boston to a family gathering in Cambridge. This hotel is a real find for people staying in Cambridge. The breakfast is wonderful, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, hard boiled eggs, potatoes, muffins and toast. Instant oatmeal, bananas, apples and grapefruit wedges, orange and apple juice, and coffee. The staff is great and very accommodating, we had a yoga class in an empty meeting room because three of us were staying at the hotel and needed some exercise. It is a great location near Harvard and within about 2-3 blocks of the Alewife stop on the Red Line. Next to a strip mall that houses Whole Foods, TJ Maxx, Panera Bread bakery-cafe, and a couple of sporting goods stores. There is a Trader Joe's across the street. « less

We stayed at Best Western Tria overnight while in town for a baseball game. The hotel was easy to get to, but right off of a rotary which made the entrance kind of difficult to get in to when the traffic was heavy. It has a Starbucks attached, and is next to a few convenient plazas.
The hotel was quiet for being on a busy street. The rooms were nice, but small. They were very clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was very good. It had cereals, breads, eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a waffle station.
The hotel was near a T station, but not as close as I would have liked. The T station is also the end of the red line, so its quite a few stops from downtown Boston.

We traveled to Boston for our spring break to visit the historic sites. We spent a great deal of time with the front desk agents as they helped us understand the transit system, they even went as far to recommend which side of the metro to exit from so we could catch our transfer. Jason was a saint, we even ran in to him out in the real world and he visited with us for a few minutes. The shuttle drivers were also great, the first day we got lost (a little) and they came and found us.
So good price, good service, good food, and friendly. ;) « less
