What is the best time to visit Newberg, OR?
Newberg, like the rest of Oregon, has mild temperatures throughout the year, so even if you visit in winter, you won't need your thermals. You will need an umbrella though, as winter is the rainy season. However, you will get better hotel rates, and there are plenty of indoor experiences to be had if you want to stay dry.
Warmer temperatures in the region last from April through October. July and August get the hottest days, but even then, the weather is comfortable with average highs just reaching 80 degrees. The summers are also dry, so if you are visiting to tour the wineries and to explore the great outdoors, then it is worth paying that little bit extra for your hotel.

What can you learn about wine and beer industry in Newberg, OR?
Newberg is renowned for wine, but in recent years, it is now a quality producer of craft beer. The Wolves and People Farmhouse Brewery was founded in 2014 on the historic Springbrook Hazelnut Farm, which has been around since 1850. The brewery's mission is to produce small-batch beers with a focus on the character and the produce of Oregon. Offerings include Belgian stouts, wild ales, and sour and barrel-aged beers, often aged in oak casks formerly used for wine or spirits.
Everything needed to create the beer is from the Springbrook family farm. Pure well water, homegrown hops, and wild yeast propagated from the farm's fruit trees are the main ingredients in all beers produced there. The focus is on rustic traditional beers, and the brewery uses homegrown fruits and nuts to add a modern twist to the classic recipes and methods.
The brewery tasting room is open Friday to Sunday every week, where you can try out the beers currently available and buy some of your favorites to take home with you. If you would like a private tasting or a tour for a group, then you can contact the Wolves and People Farmhouse Brewery in advance and they'll be happy to help.
