We have multiple Sales Coordinator positions open on three different teams at HotelPlanner.com! HotelPlanner is almost 13 years old and has been headquartered in West Palm Beach since 2010. Our rapid growth has opened, and will continue to open, many opportunities within the company.
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for updating records within the system, whether it is a client record or hotel record. Stats are tracked daily and performance reviews are done monthly for the first three months. Performance reviews will continue to be held periodically after the three month probationary period.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Part-time, work from home, competitive hourly wage (based on experience), hours expected: no more than 30 per week. You are responsible for managing the relationships with the hotels in your region to insure that we are getting the best rates and timely responses from the hotels for our clients. You are also responsible for working with each group to insure they are getting responses from the hotels that are appropriate for their needs and answering their questions to help book their group. Additional responsibilities would include: maintaining the group requests in our system, maintaining the hotel accounts, educating hotels on the best ways to use our system, and maintaining general working knowledge of your territory to assist groups with: transportation, locating hotels within a specific area or near points of interest, restaurant, show, tour and excursion recommendations. You should strive to increase area conversion year over year by 20%. This role will include participation in the development of business strategy, analysis of market opportunities, and development of business plans. You will collaborate across functional groups, including Sales, Marketing, Core-technology, Legal, and Finance to further our business objectives and drive opportunities to successful completion. You will also develop and maintain affiliate partnerships. Experience: Minimum five years in hotel group sales
Desired Skills: Proficient in common computer programs including, but not limited to: Windows 7, Microsoft Office products, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome. Applicant must live in primary city or a nearby suburb. Applicant must be familiar with the city, including navigation of, and popular attractions. Knowledge of citywide events affecting hotel inventory and rates a plus. This includes identifying, negotiating, and closing strategic transactions with a number of technology/travel partners designed to accelerate HotelPlanner's business growth and expansion. The role will include identification and development of key business partners. This role will include participation in the development of business strategy, analysis of market opportunities, and development of business plans. The individual will collaborate across functional groups, including Sales, Marketing, Core-technology, Legal, and Finance to further our business objectives and drive opportunities to successful completion.
