The Hampton Inn by Hilton Costa Mesa Newport Beach offers a variety of amenities including a bar/lounge, parking, gym, airport shuttle, pool, restaurant, WiFi/internet, laundry, non-smoking rooms, breakfast, air conditioning, 24/7 front desk, kitchen, business center, meeting rooms, and beach access.
Expecting to find a Holiday Inn Express in Costa Mesa that met or exceeded our expectations, we found a poorly sited, under construction facility as well as an ill prepared food staff. Pre paying nearly $300 per night suggested that we should have been treated to Holiday Inn's best lodging experience. Instead, we were greeted by a room maid still working on cleaning up our room, encountered limited and troubling parking options for our Toyota SUV, experienced daily breakfast experiences where hot breakfast items had prematurely run out (e.g., omelets, milk, sweet rolls). This has never occurred in our prior travel experiences. Other than the professional courtesy received at the front desk, we've never been so sorely disappointed in a hotel accommodation. made more disheartening by the outlandish daily rate charged for this experience. You can do better than this in Costa Mesa. we won't be staying here again.
