Enjoyed the location most of all.
I got there and couldn't upgrade to a suite because my room had been paid by an outside source..how can you run a hotel and not be able to change rooms or reservations with out jumping through hoops for an outside vendor. And I have to say the room was pretty dirty..check the glass door frames, base boards etc. House keeping in general pretty lame.
Ice machines never work on every floor for at least five years.

I’ve been coming to this hoteldor at least the last 8 10 years and esch time something has been less than perfect. This time it was the toilet in my room that should have been reported by the cleaning staff as it was whistling as I entered and went off and on (loudly). I tried to stop it two different times before I went out to dinner but it was short lived. The float was defective and when I turned the water off at the calve it leaked black fluid on the floor. I asked staff for maintenance on Saturday and he came up and replaced the float in shorts order and admitted it was “very old.” Last year I asked for late checkout and when I came back the day of my checkout my room was already being cleaned despite “do not disturb sign on the door.” I did get clean towels from the staff but I was upset by front desk not communicating with cleaning staff on detail! Also the rooms lights cannot be used to plug in USB chargers as they are defective (every room the last several years). This year one of the lamps was not even plugged in or could be as no outlet available. Lastly, the rooms over the last few years have a musty smell (something my colleagues complained about again this year).
All employees were very helpful and kind. Everything was clean,pool area was great! Wish could have stayed longer. Will go back. Great location!
The staff at the hotel gave us excellent service answered all our questions about things to do and what to see in the area.
We had a great time. This was our second time staying at Holiday Inn in Corpus. The staff was awesome.
