Below are reviews of the city of West Jefferson, NC from an actual visitor's perspective.
I've been coming to West Jefferson for over forty years. Much has changed in the small mountain town now gentrified by the people moving up here. It has become very boutique with so many shops having moved into town. The mountains and the people are what make this a great place to visit,
I loved the views of the mountains!
All the shop personnel were very friendly and welcoming. Town is clean. Traffic was friendly for the most part at crosswalks. Had your occasional loud muffler people and impatient ones that didn't want to wait for you to back out of a parking place. Need more restaurants besides bars.
Downtown Jefferson is super cute.

We lived in the West Jefferson area for more than 20 years. It's a beautiful hidden gem in the High Country with great restaurants, a vibrant art scene and beautiful scenery.
Fun and interesting place!
