The Hampton Inn was clean and staff very friendly. We ate at Randol's (about 5 mins from hotel). The gumbo was awesome! The waitress was very friendly and professional. They have live Cajun music every night.

Holy Rosary Institute was a boarding school many of the attendees wanted to tour places like Keller's Bakery, Borden's, the underpass, Rosary's campus, and La Parisian's. Students could not believe how much Lafayette has grown and how much is still the same both mentally and physically (confederate statue) on Jefferson Street.
The Lafayette Tourist Bureau very helpful in ninety bags and name tags for all 134 family members. Super I did a great job on the Brady Reunion :Hee HAW" western cake, very moist and on time. Dollar Tree provided a plenty of our decoration needed and purchased.
The city was nice. I have traveled there many times to the hospitals and surgical clinics. I was able to do a plenty of my shopping at the Super I store and Dollar Tree, The Lafayette Tourist bureau was very receptacle in giving us natty bags and doing all 134 relatives name tags. Had no problem with the nice moist sheet Brady Reunion Cake that Super I was able to share that we purchased with them. I would recommend them to other relatives and friends. The only thing is the distant for me to Lafayette is roughly 45 miles away.

Our hotel was on the north side of the town, which seemed to be the more crime infested area. Most of the shops around there were closed. Local eateries were mediocre to poor quality food. Lots of questionable activity going on in nearby hotels from what I have heard.
Lafayette is a really nice town! Clean, great food! I enjoyed traveling to Avery Island about 30 minutes away, and touring the Tabasco factory!

We were in town for a convention and there were roughly 6000 kids in town. Everywhere we went, people were welcoming and friendly.
