Norfolk, VA isn't simply just a military town. While it offers Nauticus, a great maritime museum and battleship exhibit, there are also plenty of attractions for everyone to enjoy which includes the beautiful Norfolk Botanical Garden, Virginia Zoological Park, the Scope Arena which houses many sports and entertainment acts as well as the newly renovated Chrysler Museum of Art. There is so much to see and do, not even including the downtown area! Granby St. in Downtown Norfolk is where it's at! There are a variety of sport bars (Scottie Quixx Bistro and Lounge), pubs, restaurants (Plaza Azteca) and clubs (Granby Theater), to entertain your nightlife interests. It is an area great for young professionals, college students and the working class. If you enjoy shopping, there is the MacArthur Center which has more than 140 stores. Finally, Waterside is also the place to be if you're looking for adventure by the water! There are art, Jazz and Cajun food festivals throughout the year there. You can even take a ride on the Spirit of Norfolk Cruises, offering lunch and dinner packages. Haven't been in in 50 years and Norfolk has made massive improvements in the highways the hotels and it's a very clean city. I didn't see any garbage in the streets downtown. The city maintenance crew is doing a great job

We love the location and closeness to waterside! Being a beautiful Valentines Day we were able to walk to the waterside area by Nauticus, and to a restaurant that was also in the general area all within walking distance from the hotel! We also loved to view, as well as how inviting and comfortable the room was overall!
