Verified Reviews of Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Below are the verified reviews from guests that we have booked recently:
"Home away from home with fabulous ocean view!"
Overall Score5.0/ 5
We had asked for an ocean view room and were delighted with our room and the fabulous view and wonderful balcony! We love the iconic lobby and the way the Fontainebleau has maintained the same classic ambiance. Everyone at the pool, from our attendant and server to the staff at the check-in desk, were so friendly and helpful and just wanted to make it easy for us to relax, which was our ultimate goal for this badly needed vacation. Thank you!

"Disappointment"
Overall Score1.0/ 5
How should I start. I had plan a nice little weekend between me and my love in a nice hotel to come across with such a disaster and horrible services. I do understand that things happen. But the staff is poorly train to deal with situation to the point of treating the guest like it means nothing. I have stay at the hotel many times before and that's what I choose this place to share it with my love one. The disappointment is beyond me. Just leaving make the experience must pleasant. Is a shame that happen and not even an accommodation was offer. Hopefully for the future guest can enjoy it as for me will never go back to this hotel. Also, the quality of guest have change quiet drastic. The class that it used to be is no longer there.

"This hotel has everything!!!"
Overall Score5.0/ 5
Fontainebleau has everything, you literally don't need to leave. It's very family friendly during the day and you'll see kids running around but after nightfall the entire vibe just changes and this place becomes a upscale sexy bar/lounge/night club. It feels like everyone comes to this place to party or hangout. They have many pools for both kids and adults. I will only stay here from now on when I am in Miami.

"Fountainebleau is no longer premier property or experience."
Overall Score3.0/ 5
This hotel used to be THE place to stay in Miami but now it is an over priced Holiday Inn. Customer service is lacking, employees seem bothered from when you check in to when you check out. Every time I went to a bar for a drink or to sit down for breakfast or dinner, we were rarely greeted with a smile or a hello, it always seemed like a roll of the eyes and a straight face. Concierge is lacking, barely staffed or answers phones. Room maintenance is lacking. Furniture peeling, cabinet door hinges bent or broken, toilet water line leaks, mold growing on vinyl shower door stop, dust stuck on ceiling, debris and dirt behind beds and around bed frames, sheets and pillow covers had holes in them. Pool day bed cabana sun covers are old and tattered. Food is okay but nothing special. Avoid the overpriced breakfast buffet, it reminds me of Ihop but $30 a person. Pool food is okay but again I've had better in Cancun. The glitz and glam of the former Fountainebleau are long gone. What replaces it is subpar customer service, over priced subpar food and drinks, smoke filled teenage lobby hangout with fights breaking out and women of the night hanging out at the lobby bar/lounge/club/pool looking to move in on your party. If you think paying $400+ per night is getting you upscale service and stay, look elsewhere. The only thing that made our trip fun was the other 50+ people we had with us in our group party, otherwise I think we would have changed hotels the first night. The one bright spot I can say I do remember is Monica who was our waitress and Marcello (spelling??) the pool attendant at our pool cabana. They were both friendly, smiled and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Kudos to them both!

"Disappointed from start to finish."
Overall Score1.0/ 5
To say our expectations were not met is an understatement. Although mostly pleasant, hotel staff were not able to provide accurate information about when and where to get food. Wait times at restaurants were consistently one hour or more, room service not available after noon and it took us an hour and a half and questioning of more than a dozen employees to find out where to get a sandwich. Private parties had been booked by the hotel taking up most of the poolside seating. They ran out of towels by the pool so we had to get towels from our room. Electrical outlets and wall lighting in the bathroom in our room was not functional. Everything was outrageously expensive and not that special.

"Disappointed from start to finish."
Overall Score1.0/ 5
This resort is highly over rated and overpriced. Aside from pool staff and one concierge, response to concerns were ignored or met with incorrect information. Impossible to find food on site, when we did it was overpriced, hot items were lukewarm, cold items were cool. There were large sections near the pool roped off for private parties making it nearly impossible to find room to lounge and forget shade. There were also no towels available. I can't imagine they get many return guests.

"Disappointed"
Overall Score3.0/ 5
We stayed for four nights and our room was cleaned only once. Because stayed for four nights we were promised multiple upgrades but when we checked in they said that they did not have any upgrades available. The front desk staff who checked us in was rude. She was not apologetic in any way and did not even offer any kind of apology.

We recently stay at the hotel and it was a great experience! My only wish was there were more chairs near by the pools and the lounge that is attached to the hotel should offer some discount to those stay at the hotel.
