"Terrific Full service Pittsburgh hotel"

The Doubletree Pittsburgh Green Tree is a full service suburban hotel located in a Corporate park near I-376. Extensive renovations have completely changed this hotel into a ski resort that is nestled into the mountain side feel. The hotel does sit on a hill side the drive leading up has a wooden arbor and the lobby exudes that feel with dark hardwood floors fireplace, modern décor and an open floor plan. The lobby is the nucleus hotel with Champions Lounge (Sports Bar), Marketplace Bistro, featuring a grab and go menu, River Restaurant (Steakhouse) plus the fitness center with plenty of cardio equipment and free weights, indoor pool that has a connecting outdoor pool with courtyard, then both sides branch off and leads to the ballrooms and the Conference Center. There are separate entrances around the hotel for easy/private access. A few other hotel amenities include free internet in the public spaces, business center next to the front desk, complimentary airport shuttle (only 7 miles away) and huge parking lot for cars and busses. The guest rooms and event space have undergone major renovations including an expansion of the Grand ballroom, now the all guest rooms include mini frigs, fiber optic internet, soft goods and furnishings. With great staff members that I met; I would recommend this hotel to any traveler whether on business or leisure especially family reunions, weddings or sports teams.

The front desk manager that helped me was terrific! She helped me navigate through the on line registration because the Hampton Inn lost my reservation and did not have a room available for me and my family. She exemplifies the meaning of Customer Service. I will stay at the Double Tree every time I came to Pittsburgh.

We were visiting my daughter and she booked us two nights here. We had a king room. Bed and pillows were comfy. Breakfast was the usual plus they had someone making omelets as you liked. Warm cookies at check-in were a nice touch.
