This has been one of the worst hotels I have been to in a very long time. I have never been to a Howard Johnson or Wyndham hotel like this before. There is no live person in the lobby. It is all done via kiosk with a live person interacting with you. The kiosk / front desk person was rude. He quoted my full room fee and went paid he asked for another $100 incidental fee. The room had stands all over the walls, I had to clean the bathroom and spray down the sheets because everything in that nonsmoking rooms felt like smoke, the A/C wasn't on in the room so it was extra hot and stuffy in there, mind you it's near marshland so it's extra humid there, the TV did not work at all. It had no reception or streaming capability. Not that we would have gotten in it but the pool had a not been clean film over it. I was not the only one with complaints because upon checkout there were a couple other people in their complaining about their room not being clean, them not returning fees, overcharging. This was definitely not the Wyndham experience that I'm used to. Did I mention that the customer service sucked. Her was rude and disrespectful. Next time I will just stay on base.

This hotel is a 5-minute drive to downtown Beaufort, South Carolina and the Marine Corps Air Station. It features spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi and serves a daily continental breakfast.A microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker are standard in every simply furnished room at the Howard Johnson Beaufort. All rooms include a cable TV and seating area.Free access to the seasonal outdoor pool is provided to all guests of the Beaufort Howard Johnson. On site parking is also free.Parris Island and Secession Golf Club are both a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Kazoobie Kazoo Factory and Museum is a 1.2 miles away.
