Property description

This Historic Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Kansas City. Built in 1910, the Southland Hotel, located at 3517 Main Street, advertised itself as one of the “most complete and up to date suburban hotels in the west.” Today we bring a sleek style to a historic building. Your suite offers a fully equipped kitchen with all the accessories needed to prepare a gourmet meal. (Don't forget to fill your ice trays upon arrival). Free Google Fiber internet service available throughout the hotel, local and long-distance calls are all complimentary. You are located in the heart of downtown Kansas City. There are several restaurants, shops and nightlife within walking distance of the hotel. 5 blocks north of the hotel is the Crown Center and Union Station area. You will also experience the World War I Museum, Hallmark Cards, Lego Land and Sea World. Catch the Street Car going north and you will run into Kansas City's newest area, the Power & Light District along with the Kansas City Convention Center, City Market and the famous Steamboat Arabia Museum. Just 6 blocks south of the hotel is the Historic Westport District. Westport offers over 170 restaurants, shops and nightlife. Sunfresh Market, (open 24 hours) is located in Westport. The World-Famous Country Club Plaza (the 1st outside mall built in the United States in 1908) is just 10 blocks south of the hotel. Don't forget to visit the Nelson Atkins Museum while in the area.
