Best Time of Year to Visit Doral, FL
The Miami area of Florida is considered a subtropical climate, which means that it's warm all year round. There's no winter to speak of here. Summer and fall experience a wetter season, so you're more likely to run into afternoon showers, especially in June, and hurricane season runs from June to November. Because of this, hotel rates are often lower in the summer because the temperatures rise to close to 80 degrees, which feels warmer because of the humidity, along with the increased precipitation. Heading to Doral in the fall is a bit of a gamble. You might find amazing weather along with great prices for hotel rooms or you might run into torrents of rain and strong winds. If you're able to plan a last-minute trip, you may have a better idea of what the weather will be like and can catch a break on prices.
The most popular time to come to the Miami area is winter as vacationers attempt to escape the cold, dreary weather of the north. Temperatures sit around 75 degrees as the high with the least amount of rain all year. You'll find the highest rates for hotels during this time, and you'll likely need to book your trip months in advance. Spring brings a lot of spring breakers, including potentially rowdy college students looking to blow off steam. If you want to avoid them, head to Doral in late April or early May. March and April are generally dry with temperatures around 80 degrees, which is what makes this area so attractive to both college students and families on spring break.
