Their staff are on it! Checked in a day early and the person who checked us in was worried the room was too cold she ordered us an additional heater. They go out of their way to check you are doing good. Everything was spotless including the lobby. Fantastic place to stay.

Property description
Holiday Inn Express Kansas City Downtown is a value focused property interested in serving all travelers to Kansas City. Our downtown location allows us to provide travelers the best of Kansas City. Our affordable accommodations give our guest the best experience to cost ratio with complimentary breakfast, competitively priced parking and easy access to all the excitement Kansas City has to offer. The Power & Light entertainment district is only a few block away as well as The Crossroads and the Sprint Center. Walking to a favorite destination is easy. Need to make travel to other parts of the city? We are located a minute from Highway access so don't waste time fighting through traffic to get someplace important.
There is also a private floor with four rooms that can be specifically designated for special guests or VIPs of a group. This is a great option for Wedding Parties, Entertainment Professionals and Event Planners. The 7th floor can also be used for a little reception space to host about 20 people.
We can also provide our meeting planners some space to hold a meeting. We have about 750 Square feet of adaptable meeting space to host events. We can hold a maximum capacity of 45 reception style in the meeting room.
Green sustainability
We are part of IHG's Green Engage Program. We use high efficiency air heating and cooling units designed to reduce noise as well as electricity consumption. We are on a progression plan to reach level 1 of the Green Engage program by June 2020. Our electricity, water and carbon impact are constantly under review to minimize the environmental drawbacks. Our laundry department works with our cleaning solutions provider to use the best and most environmentally conscious products that also reduces the amount of water required to launder our linens and terry cloths. Our light bulbs are sourced through HD Supply working closely with our representative to use the most efficient bulbs, fixture and equipment.

Cleaning policies
Our staff take the utmost pride in our location. Because of their commitment to our guests we clean and sanitize all surfaces after our guests or every 2 hours which ever is most frequent. We have removed a serve your self breakfast and started providing grab and go single service breakfast based on the items requested from our breakfast menu provided at check-in. Our coffee service is very similar. We wear glove to make the breakfast, get the coffee ready and working with any other food items. Masks are required for all staff and we are very particular about making sure people stay at least 6 to 10 feet apart.
