We grew up there and played in the ballroom of the hotel as children. My husband took dance lessons there. So it was fun to stay and see how nice it is now!!

The shopping stores and price of gas is lower than South Bend. Overall a lot more to offer!

The room was clean and comfortable. I enjoy Elkhart visits. I grew up there. I return there to visit family but enjoy area restaurants and area attractions whenever visiting.

Elkhart is an industrial, highway cross roads town. I didn't see anything cultural but all the basics were there like restaurants and megastores like WalMart. No complaints. Nothing fancy.
All the parks and the rivers.. Island Park downtown is beautiful.
Best restaurant to eat at is Callahans. You sure get your moneys worth and they are always busy.
