The hotel is directly across the street from the Honolulu Zoo, Kapiolani Park, the Waikiki Shell and within walking distance to the Waikiki Aquarium. Kapiolani Park is a beautiful and serene 300-acre public park smack dab in the middle of Waikiki. This is a wonderful park that is now listed on the State's Historic registers because of it's exceptional banyan trees dating back more than one hundred years. King David Kalakaua, the Merry Monarch of Hawaii from 1874 - 1891, donated this Royal land in 1876 so that a park could be built and named after his wife Queen Kapiolani. Besides the zoo and the Shell, the park includes tennis and basketball courts, soccer, baseball, lacrosse and rugby fields and an archery range. The park hosts many international lacrosse and rugby tournaments a year. Its bandstand serves as an entertainment venue. It is also a popular course for joggers who utilize its two-mile (3 km) circumference. The park also serves as the site, as both the starting and finish lines, of road races in Honolulu including the Honolulu Marathon. The location of the Queen Kapiolani Hotel provides easy access to H-1 Freeway including a short drive to the University of Hawaii - Manoa campus. A total of 315 guest rooms on 19 floors offers vast Waikiki view (city view), panoramic ocean views, and unobstructed views of Diamond Head. Room categories are standard, city view, Diamond Head view and ocean views. Our Jr. suites have kitchenettes and the entire 19th floor are 1-bedroom suites in city view and ocean suites. All rooms have a combination of shower & bathtub. ADA rooms are available upon request. Each guest rooms include a mini-refrigerator, and coffee maker. During our enhancement, we will waive the hospitality fee for groups. Groups must meet a minimum of eight (8) rooms to qualify for a group rate. Our meeting space is currently closed due to our major transformation. The Leahi Room and Lanai will reopen in September 2018. We welcome any opportunity to bid for groups with meeting space requirements.

        Testimonials icon
"When people provide customer friendly service in today’s world, it should be applauded! So many businesses have taken almost and adversarial attitude towards the customer, in other words, they over compensate for a consumer not following through. As a business, it is my understanding, that the business should always follow through and do as they promise! Loyalty between consumers and businesses should remain alive, profit above service is a bad plan and will cost the business in the long run!" R.F. - Denver, CO
