Rosemont, Illinois, has four distinct seasons, so the timing of your visit will greatly impact the type of experience you have. April and May are generally considered the best months to visit. You'll enjoy highs ranging from the upper 50s to the low 70s and lows in the upper 30s to upper 40s. Nearby Chicago hosts the Chicago Improv Festival and C2E2 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo in April.
The summer months, June through August, are notably hot. You'll typically find highs in the upper 70s and low 80s while lows dip into the upper 50s and mid-60s. However, there's always the possibility of a triple-digit heat wave. Summer is the most popular season for tourism in this part of Illinois, so you should plan for big crowds and high hotel prices. Keep an eye on the Chicago calendar, as it's packed with summer events that will bring a swell of guests that easily spill over into Rosemont.
September and October are another prime time for your visit, thanks to dropping temperatures, changing foliage, and reasonable hotel prices. Highs hover in the 60s and 70s, so you can take a comfortable stroll around the city. You'll want to pack a jacket, however, as nighttime lows dip into the 40s. If you're looking for something exciting to include in your visit, you can hop over to Chicago for Oktoberfest in September or the Chicago International Film Festival in October.
If you're not a fan of the cold, you'll want to avoid November through March in Rosemont. Daytime highs are only in the low 30s and average lows dip into the teens and 20s. If the weather doesn't bother you, though, you'll find some of the lowest prices of the year during this time. The holiday season also brings several special Chicago events, including the Christkindlmarket at Daley Plaza, the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, and Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier.
