Property description
Described by Frommer's Guide as “The Classic Yosemite Experience,” the Evergreen is an idyllic meeting hideaway for those seeking a fun, nature-oriented experience in a warm and relaxed mountain setting. The Evergreen offers all walks of life an uncrowded and authentic Yosemite experience with unsurpassed year-round recreation and activities.
Groups can just as easily meet in our new event hall as in a nearby meadow surrounded by towering pines. We take pride in customizing meetings, activities and recreation to create unique, memorable and productive group getaways.
The Evergreen's new fully furnished cabins, hidden in the woods and surrounded by national forest, provide a back-to-nature escape with unexpected comforts and style at an affordable price. Built in 1921, the main lodge has a classic bar and an indoor-outdoor restaurant serving contemporary mountain cuisine. The Evergreen also features a general store with an old-fashioned ice cream fountain, a comfortable great room & recreation center, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and a spacious meeting & event hall – all set around a central plaza. The Evergreen Lodge is the only property in Yosemite with an onsite professional guide service that provides trips and expert advice to help guests discover all of Yosemite's wonders.
Green sustainability
We are proud to be stewards of this special property and of the Yosemite area, and we have established a variety of environmental goals that guide how we operate the Evergreen. Our priorities include:
Local Sourcing – purchasing from local, organic farms, working with local artisans, hiring local staff and landscaping with native plants
Energy Conservation – utilizing low flow water fixtures, gray water recycling, solar heating and high efficiency lighting
Waste Reduction – implementing a grass roots recycling program and using eco-friendly cleaning products and compostable cups/packaging
Environmental Education – educating guests, staff and the community about Yosemite environmental issues and conservation
We have made significant investments in support of our environmental goals, including developing the county’s first commercial gray water system, which allows us to reuse over one million gallons of shower and laundry water each year for landscape irrigation.

Pool Info:
The 2,000 square foot swimming pool provides ample space for adults and children alike to relax and refresh after a long day on the trail.
Our luxurious hot tub accommodates up to 14 people and provides soothing relief to aching muscles after a day of exploring Yosemite. It's also a warm, welcome escape during our cooler seasons, and hot tub stargazing has become a guest favorite!
Both the swimming pool and hot tub are filled with salt water, providing a wonderful swimming environment with soft, odor-free and irritation-free water.
In keeping with our green philosophy, the pool and hot tub are solar heated, the pool uses an automatic cover each night to minimize energy consumption, and showers drain to a new gray water landscaping system.
The pool is open year-round from 10 am – 10 pm.
