The park has hosted the Brazil Rotary Club's Fourth of July celebration for more than 80 years. The bandshell has housed the Brazil Concert Band since the 1920s and can easily accommodate 700 people. The covered pavilion seats more than 1,000 for concerts and other events.
The most notable of the historic structures in Forest Park is the Chafariz dos Contos Fountain that was given to the city by the country of Brazil. Two historic log cabins are also in the park.

The 97-acre Craig Park has about 3 miles of walking trails, fishing lakes, picnic areas, green space, and sports fields. The park hosts a fishing fun day every September. Babe Wheeler Park is a 1.4-acre neighborhood park with picnic shelters, a playground, sports facilities, and open space for activities. Small organizations sometimes meet in this centrally located park, which is an excellent spot to relax for the afternoon.
Visit the Clay County Historical Society in Brazil to learn more about the city and county's history. The historic museum, which is open from mid-March to mid-September, was constructed between May 1911 and February 1913 as a post office. The Historical Society began in 1925 during the Clay County Centennial, displaying artifacts in downtown store windows. The organization moved into a room in the Clay County Courthouse until 1974, when Brazil got a new post office, and the Historical Society purchased the historic post office building. The museum was dedicated in July 1980.
The museum is part of the Brazil Downtown Historic District, which includes structures from between 1875 and 1935, such as the 1910 Citizens Bank Building. The district has notable examples of architecture, including Renaissance Revival, Romanesque Revival, and Italianate styles.
Another historic building in Brazil is the Clay County Courthouse, which was constructed in 1914 in the Classic Revival style. The impressive three-story building has a tiered parapet with a clock face, as well as a two-story dome on the flat room. Inside, you'll find a stained-glass dome.
