"Wonderful hotel that did not expect a diverted flight from Tampa to NY"

Our flight to NY was diverted to Norfolk overnight. We got the last room at this hotel and the staff couldn't have made us feel more welcome during this unexpected stop. Asia at the front desk got us a shuttle from the airport and was so kind to our autistic son. She was barraged with last minute reservations and handled them all with grace. She got us toothpaste and toothbrushes since we didn't have any. She is to be commended. Our shuttle driver to the hotel Norman was wonderful and engaging and made a stressful night funny. Tia the shuttle driver in the morning was wonderful as well and her knowledge of NY Sports is next to none. The young man with the beautiful smile overlooking the breakfast was so proud and friendly. I'm so happy we had this diversion to meet these wonderful people. They all deserve a raise. They made a stressful night turn out to be acts of kindness!
