It was our first time staying in Detroit. We looked for a place within walking distance of the ballpark and the riverwalk. We took our chances booking in an “old” building. But it was amazing! Our suite had been updated, it was spotlessly clean and the service, from valet to bellhop to front desk, was fantastic! I wouldn't change a thing.

We have stayed multiple times. Everytime we stay it makes us want v to keep coming back! Cory is outstanding. He and Tony are very accommodating. Everyone at the front desk goes above and beyond. The staff is why we come back! Thank you!

First of all when booking I always talk with Pat at the switchboard. She has the most pleasant phone voice and she's always so helpful. Then there's Andrew the shuttle driver. You can tell he loves his city and the Lions! Knows his way around the city like the back of his hand. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and quiet. I would surely recommend the Atheneum to anyone looking for lodging in downtown Detroit!

Our room was very nice! The food and the drinks in the bar in the lobby were excellent! All employees I came into contact with were very nice!
