We came to Lafayette for a family reunion. Enjoyed everything and had an awesome experience at the Broussard Sports Complex, Courtyard Marriott's conference room and catering provided a gathering place. The Vermilionville Historical Park gave us a glimpse of our great grandfather's home at Beau Basin. I learned plenty about our family history. We had an awesome dinner with family at Outback Steakhouse and the food was so yummy. Overall experience 10+

Lafayette is a quaint little city with home town welcoming atmosphere. I just love it as a get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
There is a lot of unique culture here and there are great ways to find out about why from visiting Vermilionville and Acadian Village.

Lafayette is my home town so I have nothing but good things to say about it. You'll be hard pressed to find a lousy restaurant anywhere in the city. St. John's Cathedral is magnificent and that oak tree out front will take your breath away! The campus of ULL is truly lovely and Lafayette is centrally located to many of the area attractions like swamp tours out of Breach Bridge. The po-boys at Olde Tyme Grocery are spectacular! The food! The people! The atmosphere! The music! What's NOT to like?! Allons à Lafayette!
