Nice small town experience. Linden Square is the newest food court but there are many great shops downtown. I love walking the bluffs near the Seal Sanctuary. There is no nicer beach in Calif.
I love the cute little beach town of Carpinteria. The beach just blocks from the hotels with beach front camping, grocery stores, good restaurants, coffee shops, Pizza places, Thai food and great burgers!
Carpentaria is like an older place, kind of quaint, good restaurants and seemingly nice people.

The laid back beachy atmosphere without all the traffic of most beach cities.. It has an old town vibe with a variety of restaurants and a beautiful beach. The views are endless. Definitely a memory-making experience!

Carpintería is a quaint beach town. The people are considerate and the surf is gentle. There is a great used book store next to the library. The town history is interesting.

Excellent beach and good restaurants. Close by is Rincon Brewery, it serves good food (not only beer!) in huge portions and a wide selection of very good draft beer. Recommend the very good Thai restaurant on Linden Ave.
