Being able to pick up my son from Fort Cavazos. He just returned from his last tour of duty from Poland and Germany, he'll be retiring very soon. Seeing your son return home safely after so long and those first moments seeing one another, were priceless.

Killeen is a military town. Not terribly impressive. But it's got what you need, and the people are friendly.
I was there for a funeral service and not for sightseeing. However, the Wings Restaurant next to the facility was outstanding and highly recommend.

Killeen Texas is a central point of Texas. The beauty of this city is that it is just 45 minutes to a couple of hours away from all of the major cities in Texas.
