Below are reviews of the city of West Branch, IA from an actual visitor's perspective.
The small farm town of West Branch is charming. I have a lot of family there as this is where my mom was born and raised. The people are kind and helpful and very proud of their quaint town. There are many shops that line Main Street and the town's claim to fame is that it's the birthplace of former president, Herbert Hoover, the 31st president of the US, and they're very proud of that. The town was celebrating Memorial Day and had decorated many streets with hundreds of American flags. West Branch has the quintessential small town feel with clean streets, kids playing outside, low crime, and just 3,200 residents.
