We used Port Alberni as a launching point for a tip on the MV Francis Barkley and a day-trip to Ucluelet and Tofino. We found good restaurants there also.
I appreciated the walkway behind the hotel.
The information about Port Alberni both from the Information Centre and the hotel was excellent. The restaurants were varied and of very good quality. People were friendly and always helpful.
Loved Ucluelet, not as commercialized as Tofino, and the trails were fabulous!
