The Fulton County Historical Society was established in 1883, becoming the 13th oldest Historical Society to be organized in Ohio.The purpose of the Society is to encourage the preservation of the history of Fulton County and to collect, preserve and exhibit for public education and enjoyment, book records, papers and other artifacts or specimens of historical or educational interests relating to its history. In fulfilling such purposes, the society shall maintain, operate and support the Museum, located at 229 Monroe St. Wauseon. The Train Depot located on Depot Street. The Canfield Log Cabin, the Reighard Blacksmith Shop, and the SwanCreek Township Hall located at the Fulton County Fairgrounds.
