While the current San Antonio Station serves tens of thousands of passengers a year, there was another train station before it that has some historical significance. Amtrak previously used the Southern Pacific Railroad Station, also known as Sunset Station. It was designed in the style of the Spanish Mission Revival, and was officially built in 1902.
