The Cincinnati center point is about the area of Newport and the area of Covington.

Cincinnati is a fun, festival-filled Ohio city bordering Kentucky. Like many more modest tourist destinations, Cincinnati offers a number of affordable hotel options in a range of qualities. Business travelers and vacationers will find accommodations to suit their needs. Visit to experience Cincinnati's reported hauntings, the baseball season, or just because you've never been before.Cincinnati is Ohio's third-largest city, with an estimated population of just under 300,000 people. It sits on the Ohio River where it borders Kentucky. Because of its German influences, Cincinnati is known for its food and restaurants. You can find Bavarian-inspired dishes in a number of local restaurants. Oktoberfest is also a big deal in Cincinnati. In fact, the city's Oktoberfest has gained a reputation as the second-largest Oktoberfest, right behind Munich. They also have their unique Bockfest, which celebrates German bock beer. When you visit Cincinnati, take time to see the zoo, the Taft Museum of Art (free on Sundays) and the Newport Aquarium. Depending on the season, you're likely to find a celebration or festival going on. The city also boasts lots of great hiking spots, a fantastic family-friendly activity. If you're visiting for business, take an afternoon off to see a Cincinnati Reds game or take a night off and explore a haunted tour. More from this guide...

"Cincinnati is famous for it's Skyline Chili that is amazing"

Cincinnati home of the Bengals who keep on scoring big in the renown Paul Brown stadium! This warm historic like city has a wide variety of entertainment and shopping! From Kings Island that has some of the most thrilling roller coasters to Downtown Newport which features tons of shopping outlets! My favorite time of year to visit is in the winter months because they set up an outdoor skating rink in Fountain Square. There also is a ski resort called Perfect North Slopes that is open in the winter season where you can ski, go tubing, and snowboard. It's AWESOME! As far as food Cincinnati is famous for it's Skyline Chili that is amazing and also has many fine restaurants scattered through out the city. As you can tell I'm a huge Cincinnati fan and highly recommend taking a relaxing but exciting fun filled vacation to go see what you've been missing out on!

Seasonality of Cincinnati, Ohio

Cincinnati is the kind of city that comes alive in spring. When April and May hit, you can find lots of fun festivals and activities happening. They keep coming through September. If you want to avoid the heat and humidity, visit in May or September. Since these are more popular times to visit Cincinnati, you may notice hotel rates increasing slightly. If you can stand the summer heat, Cincinnati is fun in the hot months, too, because of baseball and river activities. Plus, in August the city throws a great blues fest for music fans.To get the best hotel rates, visit Cincinnati in the winter. Ohio gets relatively cold in winter with Cincinnati's lows in the 20s during the season. Still, the winter temperatures in southern Ohio shouldn't bother anyone from the northernmost part of New England, or even from northern Ohio. Ultimately, Cincinnati doesn't have extreme high and low seasons like some tourist destinations do, so hotel prices won't fluctuate as much as they would in, say, Florida.

Best Discounts in Cincinnati, Ohio

When you stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati-Covington, show your AAA card for a great discount on several of their room options. The Super 8 Fort Mitchell Cincinnati Area is a budget hotel, considerably less expensive than the Courtyard, which also offers a AAA discount. The Best Western Inn Florence is the place to go for a military discount; their military and government employee discount is considerably lower than both their senior and AAA discount rates. If you're a Senior, then you can stay for a discount at the Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Airport South/Florence. All you have to do is present your ID to prove you're 62 years old or older. The Country Hearth Inn in Erlanger, Kentucky is a great budget option for seniors, since it offers a AARP rate that takes the already low prices down by several dollars.

Best Value Options in Cincinnati, Ohio

Stay somewhere between a budget hotel and the most luxurious Cincinnati hotel options by choosing the Empire House Hotel in Rising Sun, Indiana. This ultra-boutique hotel has only six guest rooms and is a little out-of-the-way, but Empire House provides a truly unique experience that you won't get at most hotels in Cincinnati. The rooms are a little old-fashioned, but that is part of this property's charm. You can get rooms for well below $80 a night here, too.The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Florence/Cincinnati Airport offers standard rooms for below $65 a night, depending on the season. It has a great location near the airport, with shopping and restaurants nearby, too. Get a continental breakfast, express check-out, and free Wi-Fi when you stay here. Also near the airport you'll find the Comfort Suites Cincinnati Airport. A free breakfast, fitness facility, and indoor pool give the Comfort Suites a great value, no matter why you're traveling to Cincinnati. The Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Cincinnati is a bit more expensive than the others listed in this section, but you can still find rooms there for less than $100 a night. The Hawthorn Suites is located north of Cincinnati in a more suburban area. Rooms have kitchens, flat-screen televisions, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel offers a 24-hour fitness center and an indoor pool. Buffet breakfast is free each morning, and the facility is clean and quiet.

Cincinnati, Ohio's Boutique Hotels

Sometimes you want something a little different from your hotel stay, which is why exploring boutique hotels is so cool. Cincinnati's Six Acres Bed and Breakfast is a reasonably priced boutique hotel located a little north of downtown Cincinnati. The building used to be a mid-19th century home, and it only has 10 guest rooms, giving it an intimate feel. Guests are welcome to bring pets as long as you call ahead, take advantage of the complementary Wi-Fi, and dine every morning on free breakfast. The Glendalia Boutique Hotel and Culinary Studio is a small property with only six guest rooms. Each room is individually decorated, contains a microwave, and has free Wi-Fi. They serve complimentary breakfast. If you fall in love with the picturesque property, reserve their wedding services for your special day. It's located up in Sharonville, which is further north than the Six Acres Bed and Breakfast, but staying in suburbia has its merits, since you won't be in the thick of Cincinnati's noise and nightlife. With a great hotel as your base, you can explore Cincinnati on your Ohio vacation, or stay for business and access your conferences and meetings with ease. If you're traveling with a group, many Cincinnati hotels offer big discounts on group rates, saving you considerably per room. With proximity to both Kentucky and Indiana, Cincinnati is a midwestern hub with lots to recommend it.

Cincinnati, OH summarized

Before being renamed into what people call the city today as Cincinnati, it was once called Losantiville. The city is home to a wonderful collection of historical architecture, in fact counted as one of the cities that hold a large collection according to the National Register of Historic Places in the United States. Its collection of Italian architecture is among the largest in the world. The city was once America's earliest boomtown with its legacy still visible and practiced today. The Big Pig Gig celebrates the city's early economy which boomed based on the pork industry. Its riverboat heritage is being celebrated with the city's Tall Stacks Festival, done every four years and transforming the river front into a colorful show. The city has also had some major revitalization of its key historical attractions worth a visit including the Great American Ball Park, Paul Brown Stadium, and Over-the-Rhine. Visitors may leave with the striking beauty of the city's skyline in their minds but still nothing can take place the adventures that in store from visiting world-class attractions like the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal among many others. More than just a classic river city . that is Cincinnati.

'I don't dream at night, I dream all day, I dream for a living- these are the words of famous American producer, director and screenwriter, Steven Spielberg, who was born in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati: an Introduction

Cincinnati is a city in the Hamilton County of Ohio, United States of America. The city happens to be located at the confluence of two major rivers, Ohio river and the Licking, with the former marking the boundary between Kentucky and Ohio. Soon, it was to become one of the most prosperous and largest cities in the country. Often called the first pure "American City", this is today one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country- especially because of its rich cultural heritage, notable architecture and magnificent hotels in Cincinnati.

" Great American Ball Park and Paycor Stadium"
Score 4.0 / 5

We spent all of our time on the river walk between Great American Ball Park and Paycor Stadium. The metro park by the river is gorgeous (especially on a nice spring day) and the activities are awesome. I highly recommend both The Escape Game if you like a mental challenge, and the Freedom Center (Underground Railroad Museum) if you would like a spiritual one.
