Seasonality of Dallas, Texas

Dallas summers are hot, so if you're not interested in dealing with days that approach 100 degrees, visit Dallas in autumn between September and November. Fall season in Dallas is fun, with Oktoberfest and the Texas State Fair to keep you occupied. Fall and winter are also Dallas's low season, so your hotel rates won't be as high. If you don't mind a few days of snow, visiting in winter will save you even more. It might be a little chilly, but it won't be anything like up north.

March, April, and May are gorgeous in Dallas, but post-season Cowboys games tend to make hotel prices rise.

Which Dallas hotels have real discounts?

Know you're getting the best rate available by using the discounts you qualify for. If you're a military or government employee, a AAA member, an AARP member, or simply older than 62, many Dallas hotels have qualifying discounts that will make your stay a little sweeter.

The Sheraton Dallas Hotel only lists one AAA discount, but it's a significant one. For AAA members who display their cards at check-in, the Sheraton drops the price of a non-smoking room with a king bed by over $50 a night. The four-star Sheraton is centrally located in Dallas, and offers great amenities that will appeal to business travelers. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, an ATM, meeting rooms, conference space, valet parking, four restaurants, and laundry facilities.

Springhill Suites Dallas Downtown / West End is a three-star property with a great discount opportunity for seniors 62 and older. Save more than $20 on a suite with two double beds or a suite with a king bed when you show your ID at check-in. AAA members also save, though not quite as much as seniors will. With a location in the heart of Dallas, Springhill Suites is near several major attractions, like the Dallas World Aquarium and the Dallas Holocaust Museum. Get great complimentary amenities like Wi-Fi, an area shuttle, and breakfast. You'll also enjoy the outdoor pool at this smoke-free property.

Seniors also save at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Dallas Medical/Market Center. The senior rate is valid for those 62 and older, and takes almost $20 off the price of a two double bed or one king bed room. The Fairfield Inn & Suites is within walking distance of the Dallas Market Center World Trade Center, and offers many great amenities like free Wi-Fi, a free breakfast, and a restaurant. If you've been traveling for a while, ask about the available dry cleaning and laundry services.

At the Belmont Hotel, AAA members, AARP members, and military or government employees all have the chance to save on rooms. The Belmont is a 3.5-star property with rooms well below $140 a night during certain seasons when you use a discount. They offer a health club, an outdoor pool, and a pet policy. You can take advantage of their free Wi-Fi if you need to get some work done, or have a drink in the bar area if you would like to relax.

They offer free Wi-Fi, a free breakfast, a library, and use of the nearby fitness center. The truly intimate vibe, however, is the real reason to choose this property.

The Corinthian Bed and Breakfast is also located near downtown Dallas, and like the Guesthouse on Allen Street, has rave reviews from former guests. It is also an adults-only property. The individually decorated rooms have unique styles and furnishings. Free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and tour/ticket assistance is available to you if you stay here. A visit to Dallas Recapped

Image is almost everything, at least in Dallas. The city's newest districts show an admirable desperation to be on the cusp of trends rather than following the masses. However, the city has the evidences that effortlessly back up its persona.there are a lot of booming businesses, homegrown success stories, and an evolving emphasis for the arts. A lot of tourists associate with Dallas primarily due to the city's enduring legacy as President John F. Kennedy's assassination site. But for the past 25 years, Dallas accepted its historical role and took on perfecting a role to charm and entertain its visitors. The new Victory Park and The Metroplex, flashy and glitzy with pubs, shopping places, and nightlife, are Dallas' newest entertainment districts. The Arts District has been recently redeveloped, with 4 Pritzker Prize-winning architects responsible for the architectural landscape. The Dallas Museum of Art remains one of the city's main attractions, built along an avenue of limestone galleries. Guests can be a witness to Victory Park's hockey games and big-name concerts, be an accomplice of Deep Ellum's nightlife scene, and be guilty of shopping at Neiman Marcus, West Village, or Galleria. Whatever the choice, everyone is always given the freedom to choose their verdict.

'It's Texas where I truly feel at home, and it's Dallas where I want to be buried. That just about does it.'

George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States, is a man who's known as being quintessentially southern in outlook and attitude. Texas is his home-ground and in Dallas he started and forged his political career, much like his father.

There are quite a few reasons why people from the south are often passionate about their home towns. Not getting ourselves into murky waters of the Civil War history, it must still be said that the kind of life people down south live is to be found in no other place. From cultural variety to linguistic idiosyncrasies, and from great food to even greater music, Dallas has truly become a regional hub for tourism, putting on display all the things that the south is known worldwide for.

As a city, Dallas is one of the largest in the country, housing over 1 million people within its boundaries. Its vibrant business and industrial scene supports agricultural roots of the surround regions in Texas quite beautifully, creating a harmony in which every part of the society has a chance to prosper with fairness.

From tourism viewpoint, Dallas has countless number of treats for visitors. So, it's just safe to say that visiting Dallas will be a favor you will be doing the tourist inside you. Before you jump on board, however, we would like you to know more about the place and its hospitality. That's why, this short and sweet guide to hotels in Dallas might be an excellent starting point, should you be completely unaware of these factors.

Budget Lodging in Dallas

Affordable lodging is not really a problem in most of the cities in the Southern Parts of the United States. Of course, notable exceptions like Miami exist, but they are too few and too far between. Hence, it can be established with great confidence that Dallas has a good number of cheap hotels to cater to the requirements of tourists who are walking the tightrope of limited availability of funds.

If you happen to find yourself in that category, you would happy to know that over 100 truly budget options are present in Dallas for you to explore. The first among them, from our extensive research and analysis of feedback, turns out to be Wingate by Wyndham Dallas. It is a beautiful hotel that has been kept rather low profile to maintain its charms. Spacious rooms with great food make your stay in Dallas memorable and worry-free.

Fairfield Inn Dallas Market Center comes up next in the cheap hotels segment in Dallas. Located in the busy part of the city, this is a very convenient option for business travelers.

In the same region, not too far from Fairfield Inn, you can find another suitably affordable hotel, Residence Inn. As far as facilities and amenities are concerned, it just about mimics Fairfield Inn. But the fact that it is just a tad cheaper than Fairfield Inn might prompt tourists to go in its favor.

Luxury Resorts and Spas in Dallas

Well, not every traveler is taken up by the idea of spending their precious holidays cooped up in a cheap hotel devoid of imagination and luxury. So, many tourists prefer to stay at a luxury hotel, even though the prices are more often than not prohibitive.

Being a Class A city in the US, Dallas has its fair share of luxury resorts and spas that use every trick in the book to ensure that their patrons are fully satisfied at the end of their stay.

If you like to go for chanceless decisions, you need not look beyond various brand-named luxury Dallas hotels. These include all the major chains you can think of: Hilton, Marriott, InterContinental, Fairmont, Four Seasons, Le Meridien, Westin, Ritz Carlton etc.

On the other hand, if you prefer to explore new settings and give new ideas a go, you can choose one of the locally developed brands of luxury hospitality that has not yet been franchised. Hotel Zaza Resort, for example, is a great five star hotel in Dallas that is usually frequented by celebrities and music stars

Top Things to Do/See in Dallas

When in Dallas, the first thing to explore is the local food scene. From traditional highway diners to swanky, upscale French restaurants, there's a lot more to devour here than you can think of. Of course, famous local eateries known for their amazing barbecue skills must not be missed at any cost!

If you have kids going along with you, Dallas Aquarium can be a good day's sightseeing. With over 5,000 distinct species of marine animals, it's a surreal place to learn while keeping yourself entertained.

Various amusement parks operated by the best companies in the world also exist in Dallas. The Dallas Zoo is a notable attraction that you can devote one whole day to. Dallas Museum of Art and various Dallas Stadia are well worth visiting, as well, especially if you happen to be in the city for a football match.

Hotels Near Dallas Airport

Most hotels in Dallas are concentrated in the business district and the downtown area of the city, meaning that you might find it difficult to find a suitable hotel in the vicinity of the airport.

However, if you are a solo travelers, you can make do with one of many motels that dot the highway connecting Dallas and Dallas Airport.

Getting Around in Dallas

Getting around in Dallas is incredibly straightforward, as an efficient local network of buses can be used to travel between various sites and attractions.

Tourists who plan on spending over a week in the city can choose to rent a car for the duration of their stay for better convenience. Many Dallas hotels worth their salt offer car rental services at discounted prices just for their guests.

On-demand taxi and cab services are also available at all times.

Dallas is a great city with many attractions. We visited the Dallas Arboretum during "Autumn at the Arboretum" and the place was absolutely spectacular with pumpkins and mums displayed throughout. We also visited the Bush Library which is very well presented. And we visited two great restaurants while in Dallas.
