The Fort Worth center is about the area of Bass Performance Hall and the area of Sundance Square.
Texas is well-known for its hot, dry weather, and it stands to reason that the weather extends to Fort Worth. Fort Worth tends to get humid as well as hot. That is, you'll frequently experience 90 degree days. That being said, summer is the high season for the Fort Worth/Dallas area. Visitors flock to both cities, so area hotels are often filled to the brim. Summer is an exciting time to visit, the humidity notwithstanding, so if you choose to visit Fort Worth during the summer months, make sure you book your room well ahead of time.
Ask the locals, and they'll describe a different high season. Popular opinion agrees that September, October, and November are the best months to come to Fort Worth. The temperatures are more moderate, the heat calms down a little, and the humidity isn't nearly as smothering. More importantly, the beloved Texas State Fair comes to town. It's quite unlike any state fair you've likely seen, so if your vacation is flexible, you really want to consider visiting in the early fall. Although Texans from all over the state descend on the fair, you'll find that rates tend to go down.
Do you love football? Then spring is also a fabulous time to visit Fort Worth. This is the time when the Cowboys are the biggest draw. It's during these months that Cowboys fans from all points of the globe head to Texas. The temperatures are comfortable, the springtime flowers bloom beautifully, and the football is intense. Bear in mind that, thanks to all those fans, hotel rates tend to increase and it's imperative to book a stay well in advance just to make sure you get a great room.
The renowned hospitality of Texas in general and Fort Worth in particular really shows itself when it comes to renting a hotel room. The stereotype is that Texas and Texans love everyone, especially the elderly, members of the military, and veterans, and that's certainly true. As a result, members of these groups can find discounts at many hotels, ranging from five-star luxury palaces to discount accommodations.
It's worthwhile to ask about possible discounts when you call to reserve your room. You'll simply need to arrive with your identification, as well as proof for the discount you receive. A driver's license will work for senior discounts, but for a military or government discount, you may need another ID card.
Are you a member of AAA? If so, you know that your membership affords you a wealth of special deals and discounts at a number of places. Your AAA membership can also help you save money during your trip to Fort Worth. Again, you'll want to inquire about possible discounts when you call to book your room. The hotel may require information about your membership then, or you can present your membership card when you check into the hotel.
The value you receive in Fort Worth really depends on the length of your stay, your budget, and the location of your stay. For example, a great many hotels offer their guests a discount if you're staying for a longer amount of time. This is one case when a longer vacation can help you save money.
In some places, you get better value for money if you stay farther from your destination. In the main, that's true in Fort Worth, as well. However, several fairly priced hotels near the city center prove that you don't have to stay 10 miles away from the hub of your vacation just to get a deal.
Several hotels in the Fort Worth area also offer booking discounts. Specifically, you can get better value if you book online. Not only is it possible to get a lower rate, but some hotels offer their guests a special internet rate, just for booking their stay online. If you don't see information when you go to reserve your room, you can always call the hotel first and ask about potential savings and discounts.
Naturally, football fans can have all sorts of fun in Fort Worth, especially if they aim for a lovely springtime visit. In the fall, the State Fair is the biggest draw, making it the perfect time for a trip to Texas. Regardless of when you visit, there are all sorts of other fun things to do. The city takes great pride in its Western heritage, for example, which means that visitors have the chance to see a real, live cattle drive. In fact, cattle drives take place two times a day – just visit the Stockyards National Historic District.
Speaking of the Stockyards, every Friday and Saturday night there is pretty special, too. All throughout the year on Friday and Saturday evenings, there's a rodeo at the Stockyards. Makes you want to invest in a pair of cowboy boots and a hat, doesn't it?
Fort Worth is warm, welcoming, exciting, and surprising, with museums, nightclubs, and art galleries mixing in with historic sites, cattle drives, and rodeos. The people will treat you so much like family that you won't want to leave at the end of your vacation, but that just gives you a reason to book your next trip right away. Are you ready to take on Fort Worth?

The people were very kind and generous!
We spent time at the Fort Worth Stockyards. The Human Maze is a fun activity for the whole family. The kids like to brag about beating the adults and we also enjoyed some Texas BBQ at Riscky's!
Great events at the stockyards year round from rodeos to wild west shows.
The people are friendly, the city is clean, and the streets and highways are well maintained. As a single woman, I also felt safe getting around the city.
The attractions along the river walk, the shopping at Hulen Mall, the children's entertainment at Main Event, and the Stockyards were the favorites among my guests.
Fort Worth is one of my favorite cities with lots to offer both tourists and locals alike.
The city has lots of restaurants and entertainment close to the hotel.
The red brick streets, the flavor of old Ft. Worth in the buildings.
I found Fort Worth to be very underrated. It's a nice city with plenty to do and see. The botanic garden, especially, is a real jewel for the city.
We loved the stock Yards and Billy Bobs. We would of liked to have gone through the zoo. Not enough time. We ate at coopers BBQ and it was excellent. We were in town for the Bonny Kerr and friends show at the Will Rogers coliseum; he is off if the TV show Mustang Millionaire. It was a very entertaining show for the whole family. Thanks really enjoyed our stay.
Joe T Garcia's Mexican restaurant was the best. It is a must have if you are in town.
Proud of city growth. It is now easier to travel around town with the new road improvements.
