Warwick was founded in 1642 after Samuel Gorton purchased the land from the native Narragansett chief. The founder's intent was to build a haven for religious freedom and tolerance. Warwick would even play a major role in the American Revolution in 1772, as it was here that the first blood was spilled during the war.
Today, Warwick is part of the Providence metropolitan area, which has made it a popular commuter city. The community is home to several historic sites, village centers, parks, beaches, educational facilities, marinas, and lighthouses, making it a popular spot for tourism. Whatever your reasons for visiting this vibrant city, it's important that you find the right hotel that allows you to enjoy everything Warwick has to offer.
Best Time to Visit Warwick, RI

Alternatively, early spring offers pleasant temperatures and fewer crowds. You'll find May and early June to be ideal times to visit, with hotel rates staying relatively low.
