Courtyard by Marriott Bethesda / Chevy Chase is in a great location, close to shops, restaurants and metro/bus station. Staff is quite nice and the self serve curtesy snack bar was convenient. However, the hotel itself was average at best. I was first placed in a room next to the elevator and those were very noisy. I had to request to change rooms further down the hall and that was just a LITTLE bit less noisy. Please be aware that rooms are not cleaned daily. I do not have an issue with that policy, however, I do have an issue with sleeping on stained sheets. One night when coming back after a long day, I realized my sheets were stained. I notified the front desk before stepping out and even though I was apologized to profusely and made aware that it would of been taken care of immediatly. sheets were never changed. I complained a second time to the front desk upon my return and staff gave me the same speech but. sheets were again not changed. I had to remove the sheets myself in order to sleep on the bed. Sheets were only changed two days later during scheduled cleaning of the room. I did not have a great experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Bethesda / Chevy Chase and will not be coming back.

This stay was the worst ever in my 45+ years of traveling. During my 8 night stay, I was able to get warm showers only on three days even after changing rooms. I was told by the engineer that management was well aware of problem with pipes and boiler. To pay $200 a night for this is totally unacceptable and I will post a similar review on Yelp and contaact senior management to ask for a partial refund. Also, phone and coffeemaker did not work in second room.
