In November of 2009, ground was broken in Scottsdale, Arizona, for a spring training baseball complex that would be like no other in the nation. On June 4th, 2010, its official name was announced as the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. The facilities were completely finished around the end of January 2011, and opened for business with major league baseball spring training in 2011.
