The best time to visit Salem, MA
There is no bad time to visit Salem, Massachusetts, but the best month to visit it is surely October. Since the area is famous for its witch trials, the city goes all out for Halloween. The streets are lined with jack-o-lanterns, there are plenty of witch-themed events, and parades, and the shops sell everything from witch hats to broomsticks. The daily temperature during this period decreases from 72 °F to 59 °F, rarely falling below 52 °F or exceeding 83 °F. Plus, the leaves are changing color, making the town look like a movie scene. But keep in mind that the place will be full of tourists, so if you want to avoid them, plan your trip for other seasons. The second best time to visit Salem is in spring when the streets are way less overcrowded, but the weather is still wonderful and nature wakes up, making the area look even more picturesque. Meanwhile, summer would be the perfect choice for those who want to enjoy the local beaches and don't mind the bustle. There are many events and festivals held throughout the year in Salem. If you're looking to experience one of these, be sure to check the schedule in advance and plan your trip accordingly. Whether you're planning a spooky Halloween weekend or something more chilled that includes relaxing with a cocktail on the beach, this is the place for you.
