The Buda center is around 3 miles south of Manchaca and 3 miles east of Oscar Galvan Fine Art.
Summers in Buda get extremely hot. Although it's not as humid as Houston and other areas of Texas, the summer sun can prove brutal. If you're planning to spend lots of time outdoors, make sure to bring sunscreen and drink plenty of water. You'll face more crowds during the summer months as tourist season peaks, as well, so you might want to consider another season if you're easily overwhelmed by large groups of people.
Although Buda doesn't experience four distinct seasons, fall and spring bring milder temperatures that can make a Buda vacation more enjoyable. Highs can range between the 70s and 90s, depending on the month, and lows often dip into the 50s and 60s. You can still enjoy all the outdoor activities that prove popular during summer, but you won't run the risk of heat exhaustion.
Unlike many destinations in northern climes, winters can become mild in Buda. You might experience temperatures in the 30s and 40s, but you're just as likely to encounter 75-degree days. Winter vacations can be hit-and-miss, so follow the weather forecast carefully if you want to spend considerable time outdoors. Additionally, Buda will feel colder if you go high up into the hills.

Buda is known for its abundant antique stores, each of which offers piles of unique treasures just waiting for you to uncover them. Some antique stores specialize in specific products, such as furniture or children's toys, but most collect an amalgamation of vintage items, so you never know what you might find.
For instance, you'll find Memory Lane Antiques on Main Street in Buda. It's known for reasonable prices and a wide selection of merchandise. The friendly proprietor will answer all your questions and even help you load your purchases into your car. It's housed in an old brick building with ivy-covered walls, so it's easy to miss. Look for the arched front door if you want to visit.
You might also enjoy Cimarron Rose, which is also housed on Main Street. It's a smaller venue nestled between Buda Dental and an Allstate office, so make sure you don't miss it. Inside, you'll find furniture, artwork, figurines, jewelry, and a host of other antique and vintage products. The store also has a nice selection of old books if you're hoping to fill your shelves at home.
The Looking Glass is a high-end antique store featuring more expensive items. If you're looking for valuable furniture, light fixtures, and decor, this is the place to start. Even if you don't feel like opening your wallet, you'll enjoy perusing all the high-end pieces and chatting with the friendly owner.
