The Forney center is about 9 miles east of Resistol Arena and 9 miles south of The Harbor Rockwall at Lake Ray Hubbard.
Forney experiences very hot, humid Texas summers, but on the flip side, winters are cool yet mild. If you crave a little lake time, then summer will be the perfect time for you and your family to visit. But don't worry, you can enjoy Forney's antique shopping scene, outdoor activities, and community events throughout the year.

Barbecue lovers (and makers) should book a hotel in June for the annual BBQ Cook-Off & Festival. Come July, the town throws an epic Independence Day Celebration with hours of family fun leading up to a fireworks extravaganza.
Mark your calendar to take the kids to Forney's Trail of Treats in late October. This free event lets kids gather candy from town booths, enter a costume fashion show, and play games.
The town rings in the holidays with Forney on Ice ice skating and the Christmas in the Park celebration in early December.
