Because the San Jacinto Valley has just recently become a tourist spot in California, you won't have to deal with the crowds that other parts of California see. However, Hemet and the rest of the valley are improving arts, entertainment, and business to attract more tourists. You'll get to visit this part of California before it becomes a serious tourist trap, but still benefit from economic efforts to bring more people to the city.
When to Visit Hemet, California
San Jacinto Valley has been a snowbird destination for decades. The average highs in December, January, and February are in the 60s, and November and March have highs in the 70s. If you're looking for a spot to escape the cold that isn't Florida or Los Angeles, Hemet is a great choice.
Summer in Hemet is hot and temperatures often approach 100, so it's not the most ideal time to go. However, there's barely any precipitation which means the air is dry. Without humidity, those temperatures are far more bearable. If you're from somewhere like Florida or Louisiana, you'll be able to handle Hemet's summer just fine.
Keep in mind that the nights get cold in Hemet, even in the summer. Pack pants and jackets in case you want to take a nighttime stroll or plan on going out on the town. You can't really deal with California weather without a diverse wardrobe, anyway!
