Brockville is home to the first railway tunnel built in Canada, which was used for 110 years. The last train ran through in 1969, but the tunnel still stands today.

These castles are favorite stops on cruise lines coming from the United States, so make sure you time it right so you don't get stuck behind a big group of people.

Brockville is a quaint little town, but a couple of points for visitors. The traffic lights on Parkedale are oddly synchronized. You can sit at a red light for 2 minutes at 6:00 in the morning and no one else around. Most things (stores, restaurants, etc) are nearby wherever you stay, but it can take a while to drive there due to the lights/speed of drivers. We went out for dinner a couple of evenings and the restaurants were packed early (i.e. 5:00 PM), so if you plan on eating out, make a reservation or go even earlier.
