The Lancaster center point is about the area of Lancaster Museum of Art and the area of Lancaster Malt Brewing Co.

The original name of Lancaster was Hickory Town, but John Wright renamed it after the English city of Lancaster. As the Continental Congress fled Philadelphia after the British captured it in 1777, the revolutionary government set itself up in Lancaster before moving farther away from Philadelphia, effectively making Lancaster the country's capital for one day. We love the area: no rushing, people are friendly, shopping, and the beautiful old homes. We enjoyed Sight and Sound theater, the Holly Jolly Magic and Wonder Dinner Show, Julius Sturgis Prezel Bakery, Bird-in-Hand Market, Kettle Kitchen, Letitiz town, UNO Grill, and the various rides through the Amish community.

It is a very clean city, with much to offer. Large variety of great restaurants, shopping, and tourist sites. Love Sight and Sound theatre, Amish Farm house, the roads are wide and easy to make turns. Great overall experience.
