Big city , without the big city problems.
PJ HOFFMASTER PARK WAS AMAZING. THE FALL COLORS WERE PEAK.
Didn't spend much time there, just was there to take the ferry to Milwaukee. That was a great experience, though. Would definitely recommend that to others traveling to WI and wanting to avoid the headache of Chicago traffic.
There are many different activities within walking distance. There are restaurants, breweries, a farmers market, a theater, a restaurant with games and a hockey arena. I know I know there is more but that's for starters.
The people, the many opportunities for entertainment, the history.
Loved Muskegon
I was impressed with downtown and the outdoor Farmers Market on Saturday. Lots of restaurants to choose from and love the lakefront options of hiking, boating. We did everything we could in a weekend and would love to come back!
The city was. Perfect. There was bad areas, but that's every city, but we went to the lake or the river. Whatever you call it, we stayed. There went to the submarine museum.

Muskegon has a fun downtown! Beautiful waterfront, and lovely old architecture. I was surprised how much I love this little city!

We are avid resale store shoppers and we found a remarkable selection in seven stores we visited. Frauenthal Theater also is a real gem.
